As an artist, I am inspired by the beauty I can create just by living and observing life all around me. I gather particles from everydayness and save some of them for my own use. I ponder how what I’ve saved can be transformed from an idea to a creation that will engage not only myself but others as well. Each of my Paintings represent a story I needed to tell at that particular time. I enjoy blending people and nature into favorable situations. My use of lively colors help to this affect.
Ideas or photos get me to the sketch pad. I go with the flow allowing the pencil free reign. So often as the pencil takes off on a tangent the scenes come together without even me knowing where or how they’ll end.
As for emotions, I don’t consider them. Yet they play a huge role, albeit subconsciously. That my paintings are active and positive is indicative of what I’m about—life on the move with a good attitude.
